New Member Spotlight

RABA is pleased to welcome Pappa McKee's Pizzeria to Richmond and as a new member.

Pappa McKee's Pizzeria recently opened and is located in the old Zachery's Pizza building on Main Street.
Neil and  Laurie McKee, of Cambridge, Vermont, are the owners of this new restaurant in town. They are related to the owners of McKee's Pub in Winooski and in So. Hero, VT, and say they are off to a good start in Richmond. The phone number is 434-3002.

Our Community Care Camp Fundraising Drive Gears up for 2011
Our Community Cares Camp (OCCC) is a summer food and fun program. Located in Richmond, it serves children from Bolton, Huntington and Richmond during the month of July. Children can attend day camp and take part in enriching activities such as arts, crafts and sports, while enjoying two nutritious meals a day prepared by our local nutrition magician, Karyl Kent.

Membership Update For RABA
Many thanks to the more than eighty business who have already renewed and/or joined RABA for 2011. With a November membership drive to join early, businesses have responded and over 60% of members have renewed already. We encourage those who haven't renewed yet, that this is still time for you to send in your membership forms before the end of the year to received the 2010 rate (before it increases on 1/1/10). If you don't have your application handy, you can download one from www.richmondvermont.com.

RABA Holiday Party Update
The RABA Annual Holiday Party, which was held at Bridge Street Cafe on Tuesday, December 7th, was a fun and festive event. Marvin Carpenter and his staff put on a wonderful spread again this year, complete with a crepes station and an amazing pasta station, where chefs cooked to order from requests from their guests.

RABA Holiday Market
The Richmond Area Business Association (RABA) hosted the eighth annual Richmond Holiday Market on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. This annual event has grown over the years and again was held in the Town Center in three buildings, including the Richmond Free Library; the Richmond Congregational Church, and the Richmond Town Hall. This year the day was complete with some light snow falling, just perfect to welcome Santa as he arrived in a horse drawn wagon.

Bolton Valley Resort
The owners of Bolton Valley Resort, big mountain skiing and riding less than 30 minutes from Burlington, have engaged Mike Krongel of Mirus Resort Capital, a New England investment banking firm, to identify and evaluate growth opportunities for the resort. Bolton Valley is owned by partners Doug Nedde and Larry Williams of Redstone, a Vermont commercial real estate development company in Burlington.

Gallery 160 Holiday Exhibit

Meet-the-Artist Reception, Wednesday, December 1st from 5-8 pm. Come & greet 2010 featured guest artist, Emily Beth Errion of Memphremagog Studios. Explore her beautiful, handcrafted silver jewelry and etched glassware and learn how she does it!

The Gallery's Holiday Open House will follow, 10 am - 5 pm daily Thursday, December 2nd through Sunday, December 5th, featuring new photographic works and a few favorites. Original holiday cards and gift ideas will be on display, in addition to the usual.

We'd love to see you and celebrate the first anniversary of Gallery 160!!!
