Butterfields are a popular duo who entertains audiences of all ages with
their well known, lighthearted music.  John and Marge share their love of
music through a wide variety of Folk, Caribbean, Country and Popular
Music. Their close vocal harmonies add a special touch to those favorite
songs and bring back fond memories.  John and Marge have released a CD of
their favorite songs titled “Mountains of Memories.”   They accompany
themselves on guitar and bass and have been playing at popular venues and
events for more years than they care to admit!  This event is being
sponsored by Jon and Lucy Fath, owners of Toscano Café Bistro.  Thank you
Jon and Lucy!

August 26th – On stage from 5:00 to 6:00 let’s welcome the Freedom and
Unity Singers to the Richmond Farmers’ Market.  Isaiah Mead and Derek
Clatterbuck of the Freedom and Unity Singers come from opposite sides of
the country, Oregon and Virginia respectively, but share a love for
traditional American folk music. They met while in college in North
Carolina and have since moved to Richmond where they are starting an
organic vegetable farm with several friends. The Freedom and Unity Singers
combine the rhythms of Old-time mountain music and the twang of country to
make a foot-tapping, sweet and gritty sound.
