A Free Hand's-on, Active Program from 12 pm - 3:30 pm. Sherry Daniels and Mary Claire Carroll, both board members of The Eleanor B. Daniels Fund are pleased to announce that the Eleanor B. Daniels Fund, a non-profit fund, is hosting an afternoon free program for cancer survivors at PT360 in Williston. The event is from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm and participants are invited to experience a variety of healthy fitness options, taught by physical therapists from PT360. This is a unique opportunity to discuss your post treatment exercise options with specialists and share some time with other survivors.
This afternoon program will offer participants a chance a meet other survivors and experience some exercise and relaxation classes for better wellness. PT360 has offered its space and instructors to teach a Water Tai Chi Demo Class in their salt water pool for two sessions, plus offering free chair massage, a short Yoga for health class and a walking and stretching session. Also, included in the afternoon's event will be an information discussion with Nancy Brennan, author of Active Against Cancer on how to succeed with your exercise routine. Classes are taught by PT's from PT360 and Vt. Center for Yoga and Therapy. This event is being hosted by the Eleanor B. Daniels Fund, a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing education on women's health topics and in support of research and development efforts for gynecologic malignancies through the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at Fletchern Allen Health Care. |
