A Celtic New Year in Richmond, Vermont A group of Richmond residents is planning a New Years Eve celebration in Richmond for this coming December 31st. The evening will be called A Celtic New Year and will feature area Celtic performers as well as performers of all musical genres from the Richmond area. The evening will be divided into two parts with children’s entertainment from 4:00 to 5:30 and the main event from 6:00 through 10:00PM. There will be three one hour concerts at each of the two Richmond Churches (Our Lady of the Holy Rosary and the Richmond Congregational Church) and the library performance room. There will also be performances at other venues around town including the Bridge St. Cafe and the Richmond Victorian Inn. Money raised from the sale of buttons will go to the CHMS music performance program, the monthly Open Mike performances at the library, the library, and the charitable work of the two participating churches.
