Governor's IT Training Initiative Provides Tuition Assistance for IT Certificate Training
Vermonters are invited to apply for high-tech training and substantial tuition assistance from the "Governor's IT Training Initiative", which is a collaborative effort of the Vermont Information Technology Center (VITC), Champlain College, the Vermont Department of Labor and the Human Resources Investment Council. The grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, President's High Growth Job Training Initiative.
Qualified employed IT workers are eligible for up to 70 percent coverage of tuition costs for an IT Professional Certificate. Qualified unemployed or dislocated IT workers are eligible for 100 percent coverage of tuition costs under the grant.
Applicants can choose 1 of 19 Professional Certificate programs at Champlain College, covering a broad range of IT skills. Most of the certificates are available online from anywhere in Vermont. Tuition assistance is not available to current Champlain College students.
For more information or to view the grant brochure, visit this website (see News & Events) or contact VITC at (802) 865-6402 to learn more.
