“I believe the Richmond Area Business Association is an important entity in providing an avenue to pool ideas and provide assistance for all businesses in the area. A good business climate and making citizens aware of what the area has to offer in terms of services is vital to a healthy community. I applaud the RABA for their efforts and hard work.” – Spike Robinson, VT House of Representatives

New RABA member, Annelies Smith:

ImageEmbodyoga:
For more than five years, Annelies has been practicing and teaching “Embodyoga” which is a dynamic blend of the established Somatic principles of alignment with Hatha Yoga.  This method gives structure and integrity to Yoga postures and promotes efficient movement and relaxed vitality. The practice of “Embodyoga” results in a depth and beauty in one’s Yoga practice that is evident to the eye and is felt profoundly by the practitioner.  These classes are both vigorous and reflective.

Annelies Smith:

  • Bachelors in Movement Studies at Naropa University 1994
  • Certified Swedish Esalen Massage Therapist, 1996
  • Registered Movement Therapist from Moving On Center 1997
  • Yoga and Dance Instructor since 2001
  • Certified IM=X Pilates Instructor, 2005
  • Embodyoga Certified, 2006

Annelies specializes in movement rehabilitation, structural alignment, Embodyyoga, core strength, body awareness, in both private and group sessions.

Annelies’s teaching style combines patience with inspiration and a depth of knowledge.  Her students find lasting relief from chronic patterns as they become increasingly aware of how to attain their goals and intentions with ease, satisfaction and awareness.  She is a vajrayana buddhist and incorporates practices and insights that help stabilize the mind and awaken compassion within.
