RABA Holiday Market PDF Print E-mail
Written by Marie Thomas

raba holiday market graphicThe Richmond Area Business Association  (RABA) is sponsoring a European-style Holiday Market to coincide with Santa's annual visit to Richmond.

Santa will be visiting the Richmond Free Library from 10a.m. to noon on Saturday, December 2.  Santa will arrive by Horse-drawn wagon at 10:00 am.

The Holiday Market hours are from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. and the RABA expects to have over 30 vendors for this popular event.

About one half of the vendors are new this year, the others are returning from previous years.

Our market will feature these and many other items:

  • handpainted glassware and ornaments by Longina;
  • Living Spirit Designs spirit bundles and dreamcatchers, made with VT wildgrasses and gemstones;
  •  Jenny Hermenze's hand-dyed scarves and shirts using traditional Japanese techniques;
  • Decadent Desserts by the slice from The Richmond Victorian Inn;
  • sterling jewelry handcrafted with semi precious stones by d. young arts;
  • photographs, note cards and transfer video service by GMDImaging;
  • functional and decorative ceramic items for daily use from Free Range Pottery;
  • organic and natural household products by Green Living Now;
  • knitted, crocheted and fleece wearables by Off the Map: original works in fiber;
  •  woodturned ornaments and other decorative items by George Lam;
  • hand-made soaps and lotions by Lynne Gavin;
  • notecards and artwork using real leaves and handmade papers by Green Angel Arts;
  •  gift certificates for therapeutic massage and bodywork and chair massage by Joy of Being Healing Arts;
  • Vermont Moods photographs by Peg Montgomery,
  • and many other wonderful works by talented artists and crafters, too numerous to mention.

Vendors will be located on the second floor of the Richmond Free Library and in the Richmond Congregational Church, both upstairs and downstairs.  A Soup lunch will be served downstairs in the Congregational Church.

There will be horse-drawn wagon rides untill noon, which are always popular with Santa and the kids.

The Congregational Church Youth Group will be collecting canned good for this year's food baskets.  Boxes will be stationed at each entrance to the market.

If you would like more information on the holiday market, or would like to volunteer to help before or after the event, please contact Joyce Stewart at 434-4410, evenings after 6pm.

 Volunteers are needed for set up on Friday morning, December 1 at 10:30 am.  Please show up to help move tables.  Vendor set up is 6 - 9 pm on Friday night.  Help is also needed to break down on Saturday at 2 pm.
